I have a text field in a table. An entry in that field should read "Red is the color...." (quotations included). But when the user enters it, Access 97 limits it to only three periods.

Anyone know why? Thanks-
jgarnick
jgarnick@aol.com

jgarnick,

Works fine for me. Did you check the field width for the table/Field in question?

MichaelRed
There is never time to do it right but there is always time to do it over
Thanks--the field length is very long--I just tried it on my computer at home, and it worked fine, but it did not work on the laptop at work. Hmmmm......

It does put some funky black bar after you type the third period though, but looks fine when you preview/print it.

jgarnick
jgarnick@aol.com

I have the same problem with memo fields in Access97, I assume the same would happen in a text field but it has never occured. The computers here also substitute the black bar for the three periods, let me know if you find a solution to this strange problem. I'll ask around and see what I can find out as well.
xtreme1
rbio@excite.com
