Performance problems and bottlenecks

I am having all sorts of performance problems with sql server 7... My frontend is Saleslogix and users have to wait an avg of 2 to 3minutes for a simple query... and at a certain time I sql server freezes.. any suggestions???

Check thread183-97649. It points to a recent Microsoft article on performance tuning. You should also check the SQL Server FAQs as there are some articles there about performance tuning.
