perfomance counter - RAS problem

I have installed RAS in my nt4.0 sp6a. But I stopped it due to it not being used. But I got this error instead.

1. event id 2001, source - rasctrs, description - The dexcription for event id (2001) in source (rasctrs)could not be found.It contains the following insertion strings:

2. eventid - 1008, source - perflib, description - The open procedure for service "RemoteAccess" in DLL "rasctrs.dll" failed. Performance for this data will not be available.Status code returned is DWORD 0

This effects my exchange server. I have started the RAS services back but it gives error. SHould I remove the RAS service and add it back and then reapply sp6a?
