perfmon eventlog errors

The library file "winsctrs.dll" specified for the "Wins" service could not be opened. Performance data for this service will not be available. Status code is data DWORD 0

This message appears in many varieties in our eventlog, I cant fine out how to fix it, we dont use perfmon, so why should it really effect us.

Also get: The library file "C:\EXCHSRVR\bin\ewsperf.dll" specified for the "MSExchangeWEB" service could not be opened. Performance data for this service will not be available. Status code is data DWORD 0.

..for exchange too - seems to happen for just about every service running on the machine.

I've spent hours looking thru technet to no avail, can anyone help?.

This is a piece of cake. Had the same problem after I installed Norton Av on my servers and it drove me nuts too. You're not alone. If you go to

Thanks for your help, I've used this to suppress the errors. However it doesnt seem to actually fix the problem, that the perf monitors aren't loading.

Does anyone have any more info on this?
