I don't know how it happened, but I have a peformance monitor kicking in every 15-20 minutes and crashing whatever program I am currently running.
The error in the Event Manager is for 'Perflib'
The Open Procedure for service "MSSQLServer" in DLL "SQLCTR70.DLL" failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. Status code returned is DWORD 0.
The funny thing is that I don't have any of my SQL Server services started up at the moment.
I installed MDAC 2 (Microsoft Data Access Controller) recently so it might have caused the problem.
Anyone got any idea what is actually running and how I can stop it? :-( My home ----> My company ->
