I can't get a pentium mmx to boot past system clock
see hd
sees floppy
count ram
no dos A: or C: prompt

?

Hi princess.. sounds like a 'a flounder' messed up bios with no place to go. I can sent you a non commercial free booter that will either arise if from the dead? Or not. then might be a bios issue.

Howdy:

Two beeps would indicate a memory problem.. Double check to make sure it is proper for your system and that it is fully seated.

Also, if it continues to show the error after you have checked this, take the ram out and have it tested.

Hi there,

I'll say....... the ram in that thing looked like a salad.

I saw 4 different style none matching and one empty slot.


One of the 4 pieces of ram is sitting by itself in a different location on the mb. Would that be what is referred to as "base" ram?
