After upgrading MS Office 2000 to Office XP, Peachtree Complete Accounting won't export reports to Excel like it did before the upgrade. I've seen various users ask about this in Newsgroups, but no solutions.

With Office (and Excel) 2000, Peachtree allowed for a one-click export of reports to Excel. After upgrading to Office XP (and Excel 2002) the export icon is ghosted.

Make sure that you backup your registry before you do this. If you are not fimilar with the registry, PLEASE have someone do this that is technically astute.

1) Click start-Run then type regedit.

2) Collapse the folder HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Excel.Application\CurVer
until you see the string value name (Default). Modify the (Default) value to be Excel.Application.9 instead of Excel.Application.10

3) Collapse the folder HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Excel.Application.10. and Rename this folder to Excel.Application.9.

4)That's It!! Your Excel button should be back in Peachtree. This
will not damage or interfere with any of your Microsoft products or your Peachtree application.

If you see any problems, just change the
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Excel.Application\CurVer string value back to Excel.Application.10 and rename the
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Excel.Application.9 back
to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Excel.Application.10.

Beautiful! Muchos gracias!
