I have a Windows 2000 Standard server SP3 running WIndows Terminal Services. When I first set this up, I was able to use the terminal compatibility script for PeachTree6 to get the PeachTree 7 to work in the Terminal server. My client just recently upgraded from Peachtree 7 to Peachtree 2003 Complete Accounting. Now the script does not help and I am unable to execute the program from with in a Terminal session (can't even run it from the servers desktop).

The error message I get is "Peachtree could not detect the status of the peachtree.ini file".

Peachtree Corp does not support this app in a Terminal enviroment; so I am unable to get any assistance from them.

Has any one had any luck getting Peachtree 200x to work in a Terminal enviroment?

Why do user go into a panic when a NetWare server goes down, but accept it as normal when a Windows server goes down?

Update:

Figured the problem with the Peachtree ini file. I needed to follow these steps to get the program to finally run.

1. For EACH user, copy the BTI.INI and the PAWxx.INI file to the following
directory: C:\Documents and Settings\%UserName%\WINDOWS
2. Edit EACH BTI.INI file. Find the transaction file line and make it read like this: trnfile=C:\Documents and Settings\%UserName%\WINDOWS

Now the program does come up, but I get a btrieve error when I execute the application. The error I get now is:

MKDE2060: Error reading the registry. Error Code: 2

All users have explicit rights to the needed registry keys for btrieve to run. Still researching this one, so far I have not been able to find anything in Peachtree support or in Pervasive support.

Anyone have any idea's? Brent Schmidt CNE, Network +
