Hello Everyone;
I am trying to export the report into a PDF file. I know there is a feature in crystal that lets you to export the report into a PDF file, but what I am trying to do is, to create a link using a text box which says open PDF file and when users click on it, it exports the report into a PDF file. Is this possible?
Thanks
I am using Crystal XI

It is possible to do it in code if that is what you want to know, but you didn't say what application you are using or want to use to achive this.

When users click on business name field from the main report, they get more info about the info in the sub report. In the sub report, I want to create a link which says open PDF file, when users click on the link; it exports the report into a PDF file. I want to do this from crystal, not from a different application.
Thanks.

In order to do this from within Crystal, you would need to create or purchase a User Function Library (UFL) or a 3rd-party tool. See list of 3rd-party tools at:
For example, my DataLink Viewer can react to double-click events in the report and launch Visual CUT so that an export of a report gets triggered (with parameter values being passed from that section of the report via a formula embedded in that section).

Visual CUT & DataLink Viewer:
view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.
