Howdy folks,
I'm looking to see if there are ways of drawing up pdf files on the fly without components. Or at least really expensive ones. Thanks.

There is a F R E E Java solution called iText. If you wanna generate PDF's on the fly, this will do it, and more!

also. if you have a registered version of adobe acrobat it comes with a DISTILLER. the program can be used to covert documents on the fly to pdf by setting a watched folder (disteller coverstsall files placed there automaticaly 2 pdf, so just configure a folder where users can upload their documents and after upload automatic pdf conversion will occur) also, note that if you wish to provide this function to the users of your site, you will need to acquire a separate license from adobe.

hope this helps :)
