PDC Disppears from Network Neighborhood

Our PDC disappears from the Network Neighborhood sometime in the afternoon everyday, and reappears about an hour later. It is always still available through mapped drives, but for end users through our VPN, that isn't an option. By the way, NT 4.0 SP5. Any help please, this is driving me nuts. Have a good one.
