Does anyone know how to erase old PCMCIA cards? I have a few from old Norstar and Flash systems bur nothing I have found will let me erase and reuse them. They are like 8 meg storage units, it dosen't make any sense to just throw them away...
Some cards can't be erased as they are write-once. You will need to install a card reader/writer in your PC and a program to erase the ones that can be erased.
I'm not sure if I'm giving the right answer here, but in the UK, I've used a program called "Elan Card Reader" to change the software on a couple of Norstar Compact Plus & StarTalk 180 8 Meg ATA Flash cards to a different software version.
I have been able to upgrade & downgrade on these cards using a laptop with a PCMCIA card slot on a Windows 98 build.
