hi
i have a new asus cubx board with PIII 700, 256 ram, adaptec 2496, waveterminal 2496

i have downloaded the pci bus mastering patch, and still have the yellow "i" in the device manager???

also, if i try to record in cubase, the waveterminal just gives me very noisy audio (asio2 drivers)

ive spent over 100 hours on this, and still cant solve it, plse help if you can

thx

if you haven't got anything on your ide controller that can hapen but it doesn't affect the pc.

if the waveterminal is on board then check the bios-settings. another idear is to check your soundcard for double earthing. that can hapen over a stereosystem or a radio antenne. [sig][/sig]

hi, thx for your answer
i sorted it out finally last night! - the bus mastering seems ok

the waveterminal problem is still there - the waveterminal 2496 is a professionelle audio card, i only get okresults using asio drivers in cubase if i run the system at 66fsb - then i still have 25 ms latency, but at least i can record.

i tested the ram already - seems the audio card and scsi controller are fighting over the bus - both with seaprate irqs though - also i have set the scsi transfer rate down to 10Mb/s

any ideas?
