Any knowledgable folks out there had experience with getting PCAnywhere to work through a firewall? Here's the deal...
I've got a pc at work running Win2K and one at home running Win98SE. Both are behind a firewall. The one at home uses a simple router configuration and is set properly. I was able to connect using standard ports 5631 (for TCP) and 5632 (for UDP) from a dial-up connection from another pc.
My problem is that the work pc won't connect to my home one. I've tried changing port numbers in case my work's firewall is blocking the standard ones in particular. Does anyone know which ports to try or am I just out of luck?
I know I've got to set my router at home to accept whatever ports I try from the office. I'm thinking that the office firewall won't let UDP packets through no matter what port... Is there a way to check UDP transmission? Is my only option a "port scanner"? ~cdogg
"We park in driveways but drive in parkways?"
