We were running a NT4 Terminal Server. On this we had 3 modems connected and used PCAnywhere 9.0 to connect outbound for supporting our customers. We found that this worked much better than modem pooling software that we had tried. Recently we upgraded to W2K and tried the same configuration, and now have many problems establishing connections. Most common problem is PCAnywhere dials, then dial screen minimizes, but nothing else comes up. The modem is now tied up but nothing ever comes back (would expect to see the black "DOS-type" screen, then login. Host end shows user logging on, but goes no further. AWREM32 is running as a process, and killing it will free the modem. We have tried PCAnywhere ver 9.2 and 10.5 and both have this problem. TS is running W2K SP3 with latest patches. Anyone else running this type of configuration? Any suggestions on making this more stable?

I have lost hours figuring out alternative configuration methods till I landed with GoToMyPC.com

Give it a shot! Good luck
