Have purchased new motherboard + processor. Boots intermittently from the power switch. When boot unsuccessful lights and fan operable but machine fails to post. Any ideas why this might be happening ?

hi,
there's a lot of things to check with that.
processor might be defective -try to use other processor
on your motherboard or machine.
check also your video card and memory .
And During boot-up listen to the beeps,,it might help
you solve your problem with that beeps.
