Hey,

My PC has a 32MB GeForce2 MX TV Out graphics card in it and also a DVD drive. Is it possible to hook up my PC to my TV so that I can watch DVDs on my TV rather than my puny monitor? If so, what do I need?

Thank you,
karmafree.

Usually SVHS out on the card, just depends what conections you have on your VCR or TV?? phono/scart etc and how you intend to tune the signal in? Martin Vote if you found this post helpful please!!

If your tv has s-video in (which is not the same as svhs...), then you just need an s-video cable to hook from your video card to the tv. If not, I think there is an s-video to rca adapter that doesn't cost anything really.

And just be aware that the nVidia cards have pretty lousy tv-out quality - so don't expect to get full dvd crispness on your tv.

Never tried this, but I'd expect the TV screen to display pictures with a poorer quality than you're likely to get with a half decent monitor...
