PC stuck in a continuous reboot cycle

Hi,

My PC froze (XP) and I had to reboot. now just before you would expect the log in screen to appear it restarts the PC. Safe mode and command prompt suffer similar thing. What can I do???

. Enter Recovery Console, and use the command:
chkdsk /r
