PC Powers Off after 2 minutes

computer boots into windows xp. shows startup screen and bios with no problems actually loads internet wallpaper but with blue (non-descript) line where the start button and task bar should be at the bottom of the screen. after two or three minutes the computer shuts down on its own..

any suggestions??

Does it do this in safe mode? May be video driver.

Maybe its over heating?

Check temp in Bios if it a fairlt new system?

rebooted, hit f5 chose to start with last known good configuration...problem resolved...must have been a funky download.
