When i connect a PC via a 5215 dual mode handset the PC is rather slow but when the phone and PC are seperate the PC works fine.PC is running XP Pro

Is the port on your layer 2 switch set for Auto-Negotiate or is it set for Full/100MBs? The port needs to be set for Auto or the IP set will Half and 10MBs. That will cause your PC to also run at that settings. At least this is a problem I have found in two of my networks.
