I would like to know if anyone knows how to disable PC-cillin Internet Security 2005 from starting up when Windows is booted.

I have used the msconfig option so nothing starts up. This does not stop PC-cillin Internet Security 2005. I have contacted Trend Micro and they never did answer my question after many emails back and forth. It does not appear in my Progarm-Start as I don't like anything to start up when I boot.

The software program itself doesn't seem to have an option to disable start up when Windows starts.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Yes, Go to start, run, in the white box type msconfig.
Once the windows comes up select start-up tab. Then find the Pc-cillin and uncheck it reboot and it should not start.

Thank you for your input. I have done that to no avail. Just now I redid it to be sure and PC-cillin Internet Security 2005 loaded on reboot.

Try going into msconfig and checking the Services tab. Then check the box at the bottom that says Hide All Microsoft Services. From the remaining list uncheck anything related to Trend Micro, and reboot.

Bingo! That did it. Thank you so much.
