We are considering building a NOC. We will need to purchase a software solution that will allow us to send alarms via dial up as well as ethernet. We have been looking a ReliaTel/Tonesoft for their solution. To me it looks like the best all around choice. It can do either dial up or ethernet connectivity, it can monitor our Conversants, CMS and all our PBX's. I found another company on line but now nothing about them. It is called PBX Monitoring. Does anyone use either one of these solutions? Do you have your own NOC or other type of center? Are you using ASA for all you monitoring?
A little background, we have 16 Definity PBX's from version 3 to S8700 2.2. We have 16 Octels 200/300, 4 Conversants and 2 CMS. The product has to have the ability to except both types of connectivity. Plus we would like it to have so type of traffic reporting. We also want to be able to have specific warnings that we can determine if it should be looked at as a minor alarm in stead of just a warning. Like on some DS1 alarms.
Thanks for you help
