Payment # in Dynamics 5.0

G'day,

How do I find a specific payment number in Dynamics 5.0? The computer froze while entering it and now it seems to have disappeared!! This is giving us much frustration so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you already inquire under the customer/vendor? You can also guess the payment number if you are going in order. Was the payment posted or is that what you are trying to find out? Is this a payables payment or a cash receipt from a customer?

Did you run check links? Not sure about 5.0, but in more recent versions, when you start entering a transaction, some of the info for it is stored in tables right away... When you run check links, it will find this partial info and conclude that it is orphaned info that needs to be removed. That way you can be sure that tranaction is no longer in Dynamics and you can re-enter it.
