Pasting the result of a lookup in a text box...

I hope somebody can help me with the following problem: I have a dropdown list of numbers (1500) with descriptions that the user must choose. Often more is needed than this. I created a popup window in which the user can do find by form to narrow down his search criteria. I would like the user to simply click on the code in the popup window and select that code (not the record) and paste it in the underlaying dropdown list and close the popup window. The problem is really with the copy value of this field, instead of copying the whole record. Possibly there are other and more elegant ways of looking up values and returning these in the form. I am trying to do something like this, only I want to paste into another program. For your application I think a event procedure setting the value of the entry field to the value in the pop up window should work
