Hi,

I just tried to copy a paste a list box and a few buttons. When I attempted to paste Access just quit without any warning. It happens every time I try and copy and paste more than a few objects at a time, Memory Problem ??

Thanks

Which version of access ?
ac2k is known for having serious bug on copy'n'paste of AccessObjects, especially those with VBA attached.

Hope This Helps, PH.

The particular bug PHV mentiones, I think is confirmend by Microsoft for the 2000 version, when not using the latest service packs. For other versions, I'd say the same goes, obtain later service packs, do frequent backups, and one thing I do when copying objects, either within a database or import from others - always save the object explicitly, and enter VBE and do a compile (I'll make it a rule never to leave the VBE without ctrl+s, alt+d - Enter - i e save and compile)

I think, or rather suspect, what you've encountered, might be some code corruption. If so, I would try some of the following:

Import all objects to a new database - some objects may fail, transfer those manually (or see/try later reference)

Try the /decompile option (perhaps use the step by step approach here Decompile or how to reduce Microsoft Access MDB/MDE size and decrease start-up times, though it is marketed as something else;-))

Here's another route to try thread705-834817.

If it is corruption, as I suspect, one should be a bit careful using the latest backup too, cause one never know when the corruption started...
