Hi,

not sure if this is allowed to be answered...

I need to reset the layer 2 password in an Opt 11. I am logged into the switch with layer one, I have the opt 11 in password override mode, and I'm logged into the PDT.

when trying to reset the password using the correct command, it is asking for level2 pwd as per the book, but will not accept the override password in here.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

This is a test system.

Any password request questions shouldn't be discussed on this forum and I do understand your problem, but it's best if your issue is discussed away from here.

Also there are a number of other questions and facts that you need to be aware of such as current software version etc. This is because different methods are used.

Thanks Firebird,

That is what I feared - Dont even have the 4.5 software on a card or I would have re-installed.

Hello Stuart

As it's 4.5 software, and that you are able to access "pdt", then there are two ways that I know of that can help you out.
