Password Change 1

Let me first start with that I am an Avaya guy learning the Nortel system:

I would like to change 'logi' password on our system for user ID admin1. From what I have read it looks like I have to change this in LD 17. Would anyone be able to give me the layout of the prompts to change of password:

USERID? admin1
PASS?

Also, how do I find a list of USER ID's that are set up on the system?

Do you have the admin2 password? If not you cant change admin1

On RLS 7.5 logins and passwords that you create will not work directly on the switch, unless you remove from the security domain. Now you log in via the UCM admin login, or whatever login/password you set up in UCM to log in.

Scenario:

Go to TTY terminal. You would log in with your UCM login/password. The switch then polls the UCM server for your information and then sends back your login credentials to the switch and the UCM logs you in.

This applies to call server logins as well as pdt logins. If you want to change the admin password that must be done at the UCM server and not though the switch.

The only way to get around this is to unregister the call server from the security domain and it will go into emergency mode, or whatever they call it and you can use your admin1/admin2 or lapw logins.
