is there any way to pass information from a subreport back to the same line the subreport is on?
i have a report that works out information on our machines at customers sites, basically when these machines break down. in the same tables in the info for the calls that are non break down, i.e when we go out and test them the first time. i use a subreport to show the number of machines we tested originally but want to now pass this back through to the same level so i can work out %, but i can only do it if i have the subreport 1 level higher than the info i'm passing back through. any ideas? sorry if i've not explained myself to well.

Not very clear, but:
1. Can't be done with a subreport.
2. try to include the data/table in the main report by using a join or, if that is not possible, using a Command, Stored Procedure, or a View as the data source.
3. Perhaps a SQL expression (tough to tell because you don't provide clear detail about the data structure).

view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.

Sorry didnt think i made it very clear. basically we have call tables that store all types of calls including the initial test call. they want to see what % of machines had this initial test against how many other calls we had against those types of machines. i thought about writing a view to store this information but thought it might duplicate the data when bringing it through. i will give this a try though. like i said i got this to work but the % has to sit one level below and it just doesn't look too good.

thanks anyway.
