Passing Drop Down Value to Query

I am try to pass the value of a drop down on an unbound form to a query. Is there something more to is.

Forms!MyForm!MyField

Do you need to do something more?
 
Sort by date Sort by votes
[Forms]![name of open mainform]![name of combo] references the bound column of the selected row of the combo.
