I have an IP Office running Voicemail Pro. I am running version 6. I have set up the user so they have to enter a passcode to get to voicemail. I set up a default passcode for everybody. If they log in with their default passcode and try to change the passcode to their own number it has them enter their current passcode. They then hit enter and it says to put in the new passcode. When they hit the first number it brings up the old passcode along with the new numbers. If you try and erase the passcode it takes you back to the enter passcode screen. Has anyone ran into this issue.

Thanks in advance Michael

I am using 5410's and 5420's. I think they are using the right firmware. I know the 5420's upgraded when I plugged them in. Do the sets upgrade themselves? Is their a place I can check to see if they are running the most current firmware?

Thanks Michael

Does it need the quotation marks? I checked and they are running REL:5.00. Is their a 6.0 version out. Also they do not seem to be upgraded. I tried unplugging the phone and it just came up instead of upgrading. Any ideas?

I checked one of the 5420's and they are running release 6. They are also doing the same thing. Any help is much appreciated.

Still, you say the 5420's do it to, I assume you are using visual voice, try turning visual voice off and using the TUI to change the passcode, it may be an issue with Visual voice itself :)

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

So is the only option for me to change the password to what they want within manager?

Thanks Michael

Setup a module in voicemail pro.

Set it up so that the user can dial a shortcode and then change there code from there.

You need to record your own greetings :)

You can use tlpeters module or you can send a shortcode to a VM module that has a "Personal Options Menu" with the Specific tab left at callers mailbox, then users can set there code amongst many other options :)

Mine has a history and is more fun then pre configured options :)

BlueRiver31, you can just stop using the visual voice option until they have set their codes as I entioned above, just unitck "Messages button goes to viaul voice" or whatever it's called in System - Voicemail :)
