Sadly, yes. The backdoor has been changed. If anyone has found out, they aren't talking yet. Gotta pay $$$$ to Avaya to unlock the unit again.

Anyone yet with the new bkdr, Hoe about the old bkdr for R.1 and merlin messaging?
I just had a client call(merlin messaging) that took over admin responsibilities and cant get into the VM admin,neither can we unless we pay Avaya the big bucks.

Maybe if someone knows it,they could put it a code or something suddle that only a vendor or responsible tech would know?

Here's an idea.
Does Avaya still use DTMF to do the messaging programming changes?, if so... When they call the AA and do their thing, you could have a DTMF digit grabber and get their secret codes. Of course it would take one of us to pay the first time.
I did this a long time ago to get the code to default a partner VS, before I knew about tek -tips.
