Partner Edition mailbox access

I am seeing in the help file that short code 778 should allow you to access another mailbox on the system.

When I do the 778, it asks me for the mailbox which I enter. Then it says, "This mailbox is not programmed for remote access." Then it hangs up on me.

I have looked all over the place and have tried putting a voicemail code in the user setting and then merging it. But when I try it, I get the same result.

I'm assuming you're using embedded voicemail?

Enter a password in the voicemail code and confirm voicemail code fields under advanced parameters for the user that you are trying to access. Click apply at bottom right then save the configuration and try accessing mailbox from 778 again.
 
That is what I did. I went under the Advanced setting and put in a voicemail code for the user/mailbox I want to access.. confirmed it and applied it. Then clicked on the floppy at the top tool bar to save it.

No joy.

What code are you using for thios user? IPO doesn't like consecutive digits or the same digits (so no 1234 or 0000 entries) I normally use 1357. Also, what release of sw do you have?
 
We were trying with consecutive numbers. Will make sure to use something different when he gets back out to site.
