Hi I'm having troubles with a partition . It seems fragmented. I now have 3 directories :
-found.000 , found.001 and found.002
In these directories there are files named : file0000, file0001, file0002...
I'm using windows 2000. I've tried defragmentation, norton disk doctor, norton speed disk, scandisk, checkdisk...
Nothing seems to work. Do you know how I can recover these important files?
thanks

Hi. Those are file fragments found by scandisk, either lost chains or crosslinked files. They are not important if your computer is running clean. Delete them and remember to shutdown properly. If you want to see what's in them open explorer and open them with notepad. Don Swayser
