You could also move your temporary internet files folder.
This will also keep c: less fragmented .
In windows-xp:
:My Documents:
Make a new folder on d: called "My Documents" .
Right click on the my documents icon on windows desktop
Choose properties - and select move
Direct it to your new d:\My documents .
:Temp internet files:
Make a new folder on d: called e.g d:\inet-temp
Close existing IE windows.
Right click on the IE icon on windows desktop
Choose properties -
On the general tab click settings in the
"temporary internet files" ares
select move
Direct it to your new d:\inet-files
There is also the "Partition Magic 8" software
and other partition managers .
Theese can resize partitions .
Your d: can be shrinked so there is free space in front of it ,and after c:
Then c: can be expanded to use the new free space.
Example of partition resizing:
Free 10GB from beginning of D:
Expand C: with this 10GB
