Parameters

Hi All

Iam using CRXi Rel 1, I have a report where currently I have 2 parameters zone and page name. Under the zone parameter the user has a option to select one of eight and then select either the individual pages from the page name parameter or to select all. Each zone has around 30 pages allocated to it. When they select all only those pages relevant to the zone will appear. But I am looking for a more effective solution, I want the user to select a zone or numerous zones and then from either a drop down menu or like 'subparameter' have the list of pages appear relevant to that zone rather than all the pages appear.

Build a hierarchical dynamic parameter, assuming that zone limits the page numbers.

So as you create this parameter, select Dynamic and point to the ZONE field. Then select Click here to add item again and select the page field. Make sure you select Allow Mulitple Values in the Page parameter.

Now the second parameter will be dynamically populated based on what you select in the zone.

thanks for the above but it has quite not worked as expected, I carried what you suggested below and no joy. The part I have concern is after clicking on 'Dynamic' and clicking on 'Click here to add item' do I go to third column where it sayes 'click create parameter'? If so do I create parameter their and then click on 'Click here to add item' and then add pagename and repeat creating parameter and allowing multiple values for both parameters. And finally this creates 2 parameters do I from select expert map each field to each parameter?
