Hi All,
I am using Crystal XI rel 2 against an informix database.
I have a report that is the top 65 ranked by sales.
It is grouped by store and date. I have used the top n expert to give the top 65 and a running total to give a numerical ranking for each record. This is all working great.
However the client has put in a request to allow prompting of the value for N. So when they run the report, they can put in a value of 50 and it would show the top 50.

Is there a way to parameterize the N value for a top N report?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Stacey

Sorry about that.
I created a parameter called TopN, set it as a number type with no association to the database.
Then in the TopN expert, I used the conditional button (x+2)next to the top N value and set the condition to be the paramter value.
This worked like a charm!!
