Hello,

When trying to clone one of these CF-72 laptops running Windows XP Pro SP-1 with Ghost 7.5 Corporate edition we get a blinking cursor in the upper left portion of the screen when we try to boot up the laptop that has just been cloned. We are cloning from a Toshiba 30GB drive to an identical drive. We have no problems on any other laptops or desktop PCs with drives of various sizes. Any help is appreciated.

If the image was not sysprep'ed, the HAL was too different between the image source and destination.

We sysprepped the drive before cloning. We also tried GhostWalker from Symantec and still got the same results.

The PCB board on the hard drive may be confussing the O/S. To test this do the folllowing. Swap out the PCB from the bottom of the hard drive. Remember ard drives are serialized.
