The Tungsten C is set up to access my wireless gateway, and usually functions without a hitch. I also have a wireless portable on the same network. The 'C' occasionally has communication problems, and for the last few days reports 'no signal' when it attempts to connect. It does this even when it is just a few inches from the gateway. When it scans for networks, it reports only my gateway.
The portable has a copy of Net Stumbler. Net Stumbler reports that three other wi-fi networks are operating. All are on channel 6, and the one next door has almost as strong a signal as my own network. My network is on channel 9, and the portable can connect to it because it knows it is on 9.
There is no provision, that I can see, on the Palm for telling it what channel to use. I took it to a Starbucks hotspot this morning, and it worked flawlessly.
Any suggestions for how to get it working at home?
