PAL to NTSC

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I have a movie on VCD, copied for the UK in PAL format, would someone using NTSC tv (Canadian) be able to play it. I want to send my girlfriend some PAL format VCD`s and wondered if it was possible. Thanks in advance. John If your unsure....Dont do it!

Nope. They have to be burned in the NTSC format. The solution is out there.

Extract the VCD to disk, as mpg or so, burn it NTSC encoded with Nero or other. The solution is out there.

I've used the mpeg settings in Tsunami Mpeg Encoder (

http://www.tmpgenc.net/)

before to perform such a conversion, though I don't recall what they were. If nero won't automatically do it or the quality is unacceptable, it's something else to look into. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
