I have a production PC that is running 24/7 (or as close to that as I can possibly get it) that monitors our Nox emissions. I need a program that will notify me when the communications goes down between the PC and the PLC, (serial communication) It should be able to monitor the PLC for errors all well, and send alerts when approriate. Asking too much? Other than the VERY high priced 3rd party offerings, are there any NT native utilites that would page with a code saying the com link has failed? Or do you know of anything out there that is less than $2K?
TIA
Alex
