Paging Software for Call Manager

Is anyone aware of a solution, Cisco or otherise, that will allow the phones themselves to be used as part of a paging system? I had heard that there was somebody developing the software, but have not been able to find anything.

That is one of the new features on 3.3 I think, which is due out in december I believe it is... Until then, I know there are some burbee apps and such, but they're pretty hoaky...
