I have an option 11 switch. Four digit dn to the desktop. When my security dispatch dials 610 it activates paging. When they do paging the volume goes up as they speak to an incredibly high level. I do not know if this happens from a different location.
I am trying to
1. determine how the paging gets activated in the switch
2. determine how the switch is attached to our sound system
3. get any information about 610, a dn lookup in ld20 provides nothing.

Can someone please point me into the right direction to begin trouble shooting?

Thanks,

Chris

THe 610 is probably the trunk access code for the paging route. If your print the RDB in LD 21 for the paging route look at the ACOD value, I'm betting it will say 610. I don't think there is a gain setting in the switch, at least I have never had to set it from that side. Usually the paging system itselg is where all of the gain adjustments are done.

Might also try doing DNB in LD 20 on 61...Paging access code might be 61 and 0 for 'All Call'

Seen many times paging set up as a ran route, do a ltm and see what you see. As far as the volume goes if it's to loud then turn down the amp level.
