Hi, when I start my document everything looks fine and prints fine. Trouble arises when I create a master layout to add my page headings and automatic page numbers. After i do this, I apply "no color" to the text boxes containing the headings/numbers so they don't show up on my regular pages.

Everything looks fine on my computer screen -- I can see my text, and my page numbers and my headers. But when I attempt to print the page, nothing at all appears. Also no error message. These are the same pages that had no trouble printing a moment ago. And everything is perfectly visible on the screen. I mean, if I had accidentally "erased" all my text or turned it white or something, it wouldn't show on my screen, right?

So what the heck am I doing wrong? I have even tried re-creating the document (carefully) as a new file, and the same problem occurs.

Can anyone help?

Trish

It is a little early in the morning so let me address one thing at a time...

After i do this, I apply "no color" to the text boxes containing the headings/numbers so they don't show up on my regular pages.

Why are you doing this? Why don't you create a second set of master pages for your regular pages that do not contain these text boxes?

I'm not sure I understand your question. I created the text boxes in order to place text in them, ie, the headers and page numbers. But I only wanted the text to show up, not the boxes. These I placed on master pages, and those do show up fine on my regular document.

After working on this some more I discovered the problem is not a color problem at all, it appears to be a printing one. The earlier pages in the document DO print with no problem. But when I try to print higher numbered pages the paper prints out with nothing on it. I know there was someone in this forum who complained of a similar problem -- I believe he couldn't print past page 85!
