Please help, I need to know how to check my PA system within my meridian 51c. I code is 80 but I have no documentation on the TN nor DN and the previous employees here have no idea either. What load do I use to find this in my system? It seems we have a hot mic, off-hook, on the system but I don't know for sure. Please help as soon as possbile.

Thanks for helping a newbie at this PBX stuff............I know good bit but tons more to learn.

go to:

LD 21

REQ: LTM
enter through everything

go back and look for two (2) types. It will either be PAG or could be WAT if you are using zone based paging.

You will see the TN's and you can just stat/disable/enable just like a normal TN

Hope this helps.

If you print RDB in ld 21, that will tell you what route the paging is. Then you can LTM for that route.

If you are having an issue with your paging system, you can stat the TN (012 0 01 05) in ld 20 to see if it is idle or busy.

Okay, I ran those instructions and the meridian returned TN 4 0 0 0 as my PAG. details

Please help me determine my issue. When I call ACOD 80 it sounds like a phone is offhook and has the paging system engaged. I also did a ld 32 stat on that TN 4 0 0 0 and it returned IDLE. I then disu the TN and stat DSBL. I called ACOD 80 and it gave a busy signal. I then enlu TN 4 0 0 0 and stat IDLE. I called ACOD again and I still have the offhook (static like noise).

Any ideas on what to search next to try and resolve me issue. Thanks

Just for the heck of it, try rebooting your paging system.

how do I reboot the paging system? Do you mean on the PBX or the actual standalone paging system that is in another location in our building. If on the pbx, I will need loads and detailed instructions.

Thanks very much for the help

On my paging system card I have the following,

That card 4 0 0 has the following details:
stat 4 0 0
00= idle (TRK)(PAG LDR IMM)
01= idle (TRK)(MUS OWK)
02=UNEQ
03= idle (TRK)(DID LDR WNK)
04= idle (TRK)(DID LDR WNK)
05= idle (TRK)(CO GRD)
06= idle (TRK)(CO GRD)
07= UNEQ

How would I remove the PAG from the 4 0 0 0 and create a new one on the 4 0 0 2. I tried to create a new one last week on 4 0 0 2 but wasn't able to. I assume I was using the wrong loads to complete the process. Can anyone provide the loads and details to move it to the new TN (not sure if it's called a TN when referencing TRK cards). Thanks
