Hi, PhilH12,
Scripts for creating Fractions
These scripts were supplied with PM5, but never included in later versions.
"These are scripts for creating fractions which were included with Aldus PageMaker 5 from 1993.
To use with Adobe PageMaker 7.x:
Exit PM7
Open "My Computer" and navigate to the Folder [PM7DIR]\RSRC\[LANGUAGE]\Plugins\Scripts\TEXT
Create a new folder called "Fractions" (without the " delimiters of course)
Extract the two files FRACTION.TXT and HORIZFRC.TXT to the new folder.
Close "My Computer"
FRACTION.TXT
============
To use the script, click Windows -> Plug-in Palettes - > Show Scripts
Double click Text, then Fractions.
In layout mode, type the fraction in the format nn/dd and leave the cursor after the last digit.
Double Click Fraction to run the script and the fraction will be created with a diagonal fraction bar.
The numerator

and demoninator (d) can have any number of digits.
HORIZFRC.TXT
============
This script creates fractions with a horizontal (rather than a diagonal) fraction bar. Use this script for fractions with SINGLE DIGIT numerators and denominators like 1/2 and 3/4. It will not work otherwise.
The process process uses the "underscore" character rather than a slash for the fraction bar. The numerator and underscore are superscripted and the denominator is subscripted. Then all three characters are positioned using PageMaker's Type Options.
To use the script, click Windows -> Plug-in Palettes - > Show Scripts
Double click Text, then Fractions.
In layout mode, type the fraction in the format n d leaving a space betweem the numerator and denominator, and leave the cursor after the last digit.
Double Click Horizfrc to run the script and the fraction will be created.
