Page Numbers in Word 97

Hi, a friend of mine is using word 97 and when they are printing their document, instead of getting 1, 2, 3 etc for page number it is printing PAGE.

I have checked in options for the field codes, and this is ok. Does anyone know how we can get the page number itself to appear on the print, by the pay it is fine when you look at the screen. Any help would be extremely apprciated.

I had similar issue with the page numbers until i installed sp2. The page numbers were not looking incorrect when i printed them, but now they are fixed.

COuld it be anything else, i know they will be downloading SP2 for ages...

go to tools - options, then click on the print tab, and make sure that "Field Codes" is not flagged.

Thats the only other thing i can think it is..
