I was wondering if there is a way to surpress the page header on the last page of a multiple page report.

Go to the section expert->page header->suppress->x+2 and enter:

pagenumber = totalpagecount

Will this work if the number of pages changes. In some cases the report might be one page with the second page being the report footer and in others in might be more then one.

If you have "new page before" set on the report footer, and the report footer is always only one page, then it doesn't matter how many pages in the report there are.

I must be doing something wrong. I have New Page Before selected in the Report Footer section which is always one page. I also have pagenumber = totalpagecount set in the Page Header section. The page header is still printing on the report footer section.

When you are in the section expert (format->section), did you have the page header section highlighted when you went to suppress->x+2 and entered the formula?

Are you definitely referring to the report footer section and not a group footer?

Yup on both counts. I just doubled checked and the formula ou suggested was entered in the Page Header section. I am also definitely referring to a Report Footer. Would you mind if I emailed the report to you?

We have to keep this within the forum. I can't think of a reason why this formula wouldn't work. You don't have a reset on the pagenumber, do you? Try placing the special field pagenumber on the page header and also the special field totalpagecount and verify that they are equal on the last page.

You could also use the following suppression formulan for the page header section:

onlastrecord

...as long as you will never have one detail row on the second to last page--if you did, the page header would not appear on the second to last or the last page.

You mentioned that my Report Footer can't be more then one page. It is close to an entire page and due to the Page Header the Footer spans 2 pages. Would this be a cause. I will also try your suggestions.

Well right or wrong I got it to work by entering the following on the Page Header properties:
pagenumber = totalpagecount -1

Yes, that is probably the problem. If the report footer is always the same size, you could also try:

pagenumber in totalpagecount-1 to totalpagecount

When I tested here and made a report footer that was 9.75 inches long, it was one page when the page header was suppressed, but two pages when it wasn't. Applying the above formula, it suppressed the page header, the report footer then fit on one page, but the pagenumber on the last page was one less than the totalpagecount, even though you could not navigate beyond that page. A bit odd...
