Hi,

I have this groupwise client when we try to attached a file it crashes. it gives us a page fault in kernel32.dll. We tried the fix that novell gave us but it did not do nothing!

anyideas???

I find that GroupWise will normally react this way if any of the following conditions exist:

1. Old GroupWise temp files exist in the c:\windows\temp directory. Delete all temp files in the temp directory and try again.

2. Corrupted GroupWise files. Remove GroupWise and delete the GroupWise directory and re-install GroupWise.

3. Corrupted Windows files. You may need to delete and re-install Windows and re-install all Windows apps. If you do this, I recommend using the deltree utility to delete the Windows directory and all sub directories below it. Do this only as a last resort.

I have the same error as hagrid, but only with an specific user. I not only reinstalled the software, but changed the computer, chenged the cable and the connection to the port of the hub. I checked in the knowledge base in Novell, and it says that using the suffix /d-c:\ after the exe file, fix the problem, or copying the kernel32.dll from other computer. I have tested everything but I still have the problem.

Have you checked to see if another user can attach files on the problem computer? If it works, I would perform a structural rebuild on the users message store.

Patrick

I once saw this problem caused by an outdated video driver. Groupwise seems to be sensitive to video driver issues.

Try updating the video driver it worked for me {S3 VGA }
