Hi All,

Boss say's I need to analyze our routers and give him a report on traffic flow through every router on the network from 4 weeks ago. Any one knows how i can get rid of the boss or a way to give him this report through a show command?

Thanks in advance…

J.Nash.

You could run a macro in Excel, using a hash sequence from each weeks lotto numbers. Then get Excel to plot some graphs with pretty colors, put in a bold title "Network Traffic Report" and present that to your boss. Considering your boss is ignorant enough to ask such a request from you then I'm sure you'll be able to pass it off.

The show interface command will give a basic overview of your input/output/errors etc.. passing through your interface. You could subsitute these for the lotto numbers ;-). So unless you've had some management application installed on your network over the past 4 weeks to log these stats, then I think my above suggesstion will be much cleaner, feasible and cheaper than calling in a favour from Tony Saprano.

Thanks JimmyZ, looks like Tony Saprano will be making a trip out to Melbourne Australia...
Cheers,
