This drive has worked flawlesly before this point. The error I get when trying to acess it is "this volume is already in use..." My networkconnections tab will not see this PC. any sugestions?

Has anything changed on that pc - like a firewall maybe?

I am using ZA nad no changes have been made. Also, ZA is not getting any hits in the log. I have installed software from my shared drive imediatly prior tom the point of error. After this software was installed (Image tool so I can play DVDs from my hard drive) the connection stopped. I did not change anythjing else after i installed image tool. I guess that logically I should uninstall this but I do not see how it could have caused the pproblem, I just installed it to the local drive by running it from the network drive.

DVD Image tools is available from many different download locations, it is possible that the site that you downloaded it from embeded a virus/Trojan into the setup program. This has been the case for many downloads such as Media Players and P2P Software.

Try Uninstalling it and see what happens, however if you have now got a Trojan/Virus it is unlikely that an uninstall will make a difference.

You could try a free on-line virus scan at
Also if you haven't already got them download Spybot and Adaware Run the scans on both pieces of software.
